These turnips come from Rocky Top & Golden Valley Farms.
This ferment looks like some kind of funky scallop or shrimp chowder (according to Sam & Michele) but tastes nothing like it. It’s really delicious and very more-ish.
The sweetness of the turnips coupled with ginger are the primary flavour notes but there’s a little chilli in there too. It’s citric and fruity and very refreshing. Liven up your sushi game by dicing this up fine and including it in a sushi roll.
